In 2023, the Mental Health Alliance has:
Established an alliance of 34 members and conducted 9 data-driven meetings to address mental health outcomes in Greenwood, SC
Initiated a Mental Health Community Survey that gathered crucial insights from 380 responses
Obtained support from SCORH for resources and technical assistance
Recruited six mental health educators certified to teach four different evidence-based curriculums
Secured Leadership positions for the alliance- Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary
Partnered with SCORH and University of Rochester to launch a community conversation to reduce stigma and bias around substance use disorder and recovery
Launched Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) training
Launched two community listening sessions to gather qualitative data on how to improve mental health in our community
Partnered with Westview Behavioral Health to offer Mental Health First Aid trainings in Greenwood, SC for Adults, Youth, Veterans, and First Responders in both English and Spanish
Partnered with GAC to host, promote, and support a recovery event called Gratitude Gathering
Created an ACE's resource guide
Formed partnerships with statewide entities such as SCORH, Childrens Trust, and SC Department of Childrens Advocacy
